Widgets

Walks through adding and arranging widgets on the desktop, so a member of staff shapes their view around their daily work.

Widgets sit on your desktop and keep the work you return to in view. This page walks through adding a widget, arranging it, and shaping your view around your daily work.

A widget stays within your access

Every widget inherits your access. It shows only the patients and numbers you are entitled to see, so a pinned card holds to your permissions even when it sits in plain view on a shared workstation.

Before you begin

Done. You are signed in on the Chamber as yourself.
Done.Your role holds the work you want a widget for.

Add a widget

  1. 1

    Open the widget picker

From the persistent bar, select Add widget. The widget picker opens with the widgets your access allows.

  2. 2

    Choose a widget

Pick the one you want, such as your due list, an alert feed, or a stat card. If the picker offers fewer than a colleague sees, your access covers a different set of work.

  3. 3

    Place it on the desktop

The widget lands on the desktop. Drag it by its header to the spot you want.

  4. 4

    Size it to the work

Drag a corner to resize. A wider stat card shows more at a glance, and a taller list shows more rows.

  5. 5

Select Pin so the widget stays across sessions. If you leave this step, the widget clears when you sign out.

Arrange your view

Drag widgets to group the ones you watch together, so a glance at one corner covers a whole part of your day. Remove a widget you have finished with using Remove, and add it back any time from the picker.

What each widget shows

Each widget draws from one capability of the platform and refreshes as the work behind it moves.

If a widget looks empty

An empty widget still reads clearly

If a widget stays empty, the work it watches is clear for now, or it covers an area outside your current access. Check the patient or area it tracks, and confirm you are signed in as yourself.

Common questions

Do my widgets follow me to another workstation?

Yes. Your pinned widgets belong to your identity, so they return when you sign in on another Chamber.

Why does a colleague see a widget I lack?

Each widget inherits your access. The picker offers the set your role and relationships allow, and a colleague with different work sees a different set.

Do widgets update on their own?

Yes. A pinned widget refreshes as the work behind it changes, so a due list and an alert feed stay current through your shift.

Pin the stat widgets that track your numbers, open your due list in full, or read how live updates keep a widget current.
